SITTI is proud to announce that on July 24th, 2020, it received the CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL for its MULTIFONO® M800IP® voice communication system from CAAC, the Civil Aviation Administration of China. The certificate states that the system “complies with the civil aviation CNS equipment certification rules (CCAR-87) and relevant provisions”.
This very important achievement has been reached with the help of the Beijing XiDi Communication Technology Ltd company that provided all required support and local knowledge. The certificate has been obtained after submitting the M800IP® VCS system to a large set of tests and after providing extensive proof of compliance to international rules and standards, including (but not limited to) ED137. This latter is the standard issued by EUROCAE for the definition of the way VoIP (Voice over IP) shall be used in the ATM field.
Mr. Giuseppe Vasquez is the SITTI Program Manager who followed all procedures and steps that led to the issue of the certificate. “This important result once more underlines the high competence of our company, capable of submitting to CAAC a product that fully passed all technical and compliance steps. CAAC requirements are comprehensibly very strict and demanding, because of the high responsibility they have to ensure voice service continuity for a safer sky over China”.
“MULTIFONO® M800IP® demonstrated its built-in flexibility and adaptability, being able to pass without problems all the stringent rules imposed by CAAC to get the certificate of approval”, Mr.Claudio Tognoni – SITTI Commercial Officer for China – said.

Shaoguan is an important city in the south of China, not far from Hong Kong. With its more than 3 million inhabitants, it is the most northern city in the Guangdong province. Its enviable position makes it one of the most important cultural cities of the area.
SITTI has been supplying many Chinese cities with its Voice Communication Switching Systems (VCSS); we are very proud that Shaoguan can also be added to the long list, thus testifying the very good reputation of SITTI as a primary market leader in the Air Traffic Control field.
Through Beijing XiDi Communication Technology Co. Ltd, SITTI is having the opportunity to install a new MULTIFONO® M800IP® Voice Communication System at the Shaoguan airport. The system being commissioned is made of a limited number of controller working positions and radio/telephone/intercom facilities. Although the number of interfaces and operating positions is not very large, the supplied system has the same capabilities as larger ones. The standard ED137 Voice over IP (VoIP) statements and recommendations are implemented at all levels, thus making the Shaoguan system fully compliant to the latest technological achievements.
“The system for Shaoguan is a further confirmation of the SITTI ability of scaling its systems from large ACCs with hundreds of positions to medium/small airport systems, without losing any of the standard features. Regardless of their size, all systems provide the customer with the same high quality.” – Giuseppe Vasquez, SITTI Program Manager, says.
SITTI has been awarded the supply of a brand new Voice Communication System (VCS) to be installed at Prishtina, Kosovo. The system being supplied by SITTI belongs to the MULTIFONO® M800IP® family, which is compliant to the most recent technical achievements and requirements set by the word famous ED-137 standard, developed by EUROCAE. It is a medium-sized system, capable of interfacing both analogue and digital radio and telephone channels and links. More specifically, the initial supply includes the possibility of interfacing 20 analogue telephone links and 28 VoIP (Voice over IP) radio channels. All the operators can have simultaneous access to all these resources from their Controller Working Position (CWP).
