Another successful SAT – La Paz

In the framework of a larger program called SIDACTA (Radar Surveillance System Project) where Thales is acting as prime contractor, SITTI has been providing the La Paz APP Centre with a new MULTIFONO® M800IP® Voice Communication System (VCS). The supply of the system included Controller Working Positions, radio and telephone interfaces, intercom facilities and a fully redundant voice recording system. The installation, configuration, setting to work and commissioning phases have been successfully followed by Site Acceptance Tests. These latter proved the complete adherence of the supplied system to the Customer requirements and its positive response to the local operational needs.

The SIDACTA project is also including other important sites in Bolivia, i.e. Cochabamba, Trinidad and Santa Cruz, aimed at giving operators access to both analogue and digital connections for the accomplishment of their tasks in the Bolivian airspace. The latest and most advanced IP technology provided by the MULTIFONO® M800IP® VCS family is put at the Customer’s disposal, together with analogue-to-standard IP gateways.

SUCCESSFUL SAT IN INDONESIA

Continuing its expansion in the VCS market, SITTI completed the installation and set-up of two brand new MULTIFONO® M800IP® Voice Communication Systems (VCS) and ancillary equipment at two Indonesian sites. The supplied VCS systems come along with the latest Controller Working Position (CWP) version that allows controllers to easily and intuitively interface the Radio communication facilities provided by the MULTIFONO® M800IP® system. Installation, configuration, setting to work and commissioning phases have been successfully followed by Site Acceptance Tests. These latter proved the complete adherence of the supplied system to the Customer requirements and its positive response to the local operational needs.

The latest and most advanced IP technology provided by the MULTIFONO® M800IP® VCS family is put at the Customer disposal, together with analogue-to-standard IP modules. The supplied VCS systems is capable of interfacing analogue and VOIP radio channels, these latter based on the world VOIP ED137 standard, in order to provide local ATC controllers all the required facilities to best manage the traffic under their responsibility.

MITIGA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

SITTI has been awarded (through Techno Sky and ENAV) the supply of a brand new VCS (Voice Communication System) and ancillary equipment for the International Airport of Mitiga (Tripoli) in Libya. The MULTIFONO M800IP(R) system is going to be installed at the airport, together with an advanced IP crashphone system. In addition, a set of consoles for the local operators is also included. The final Customer, the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority, is in fact willing to further develop the air traffic infrastructure provided so far, by also relying on a modern crashphone system based on the latest most advanced IP technology.

The supplied VCS system will be capable of interfacing both analogue and VOIP radio channels, these latter based on the world VOIP ED137 standard. Furthermore, a number of telephone lines are also dealt with, in order to provide local ATC controllers with all the required facilities to best manage the traffic under their responsibility. Ergonomic consoles will allow operators to access communication means in an easy and integrated manner. According to the current schedule, the overall supply will be installed and put into operation in Q3 this year.

SITTI confirms its capacity to respond to the Customer needs, by supplying a variety of integrated systems and devices, to make the work of ATC controllers simple and air traffic safer.
