VCS active at Dakar (Senegal)

Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD) is the new international airport in Dakar, the capital city of Senegal. The airport construction initially began in April 2007 and after some delays finally resumed in November 2016; it was commissioned in December 2017.

SITTI contributed to the successful commissioning by supplying a new MULTIFONO® M800IP® Voice Communication System (VCS) with 16 Controller Working Positions and relevant consoles. The new airport is intended to replace the old Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport, which handled approximately two million passengers in 2015.

Italian Ambassador at SITTI Stand

Mr. Stefano Sannino, the Italian Ambassador in Spain, visited SITTI stand at the WORLD ATM CONGRESS in Madrid. This was a perfect occasion for showing the Ambassador the level of excellence reached by this Italian company in the highly competitive field of Air Traffic Control.

The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Simone Turchetta, responsible for the Commercial Economic Office of the Italian Embassy in Spain. Both Mr. Sannino and Mr. Turchetta showed great interest in the products developed by SITTI and congratulated for the high technological level that makes SITTI a top level player in the world.

World ATM Congress 2018

Continuing a positive tradition, also this year SITTI participated in the World ATM Congress in Madrid (March 2018).

The World ATM Congress (WATC) is the world most important event for Air Traffic Management, organised by CANSO (Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation) and ATCA (Air Traffic Control Association). The show in Madrid is the right place where to deliver innovative products and meet customers, having a look at the future market trends.

As a market leader in Voice Communication Systems worldwide, SITTI participated as a manufacturer to show ANSPs its top-edge systems and integrated functions. The excellent possibilities offered by this exposition, allowed SITTI to confirm its reputation as a reference point in this market, capable of providing turn-key systems as well as convergence solutions, based on the latest VOIP technology, fully compliant to the ED137 standard.
